Your impact 

As a Regional Business Unit Controller DACH (m/f/d), you will be part of our Business Control team in the Group Finance. Also, you are part of a Business Unit management team in a Business Unit DACH serving our business in Germany and Austria. In your role you report to the Head of Business Control, and you have an important role to support our business and management in region DACH. These tasks are already waiting for you:

  • Managing various tasks within your business area during the monthly closing process, focusing on revenue recognition, cost accruals, and management reporting
  • Responsible for monthly management reporting, rolling forecasting, and supporting your dedicated Business Unit in Germany and Austria
  • Collecting, analyzing, and managing financial data, providing insights and reports to management in collaboration with the business control team
  • Developing daily financial processes and tools together with the Group finance team and other stakeholders
  • Participating in the development of our internal IT from the Business Control team’s perspective (e.g., ERP, Analytics) and running specific development projects in cooperation with other functions

Your skills 

  • You have more than five years of relevant experience (preferably in ICT) in a similar role and hold a relevant academic degree
  • You possess solid experience in financial accounting and monthly closing procedures.
  • You have a strong understanding and hands-on capability in bookkeeping, particularly in revenue recognition and cost accruals within your dedicated Business Unit
  • You have knowledge in Group accounting and consolidation, with a good understanding of IFRS standards and IFRS reporting requirements.
  • You have experience operating accounting and project management systems (e.g., NetSuite), consolidation, management reporting and forecasting systems (e.g., Tagetik), and Analytics/BI-tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are advantageous
  • Your native language is German, and you speak English fluently

Working in Gofore’s Business Control team

The Business Control team is an active business partner for our Business Units and operations and is focusing also to develop profitability management concepts to support our business, strategy, and transparency to operations. Our way of working is agile and straightforward, we want to deliver and make an impact. The whole group finance team keep the deadlines together and support each others. You’ll be reporting to our Head of Business Control, Katariina Somero.
You will also be part of management team in Region DACH and work closely with the management and business in those countries.
