What we offer
As an employer and community, we promise to look after you, because healthy employees are the core of our business and our greatest asset. Our praised corporate culture is based on a flat organisation model that enables self-direction and an open operating culture and supports individuality. Our reputation for providing high-quality services to our customers is entirely thanks to our top experts, and we take our modern operating culture with us to customer projects, too.
Development of professional expertise is important to us, and you can pick what you find the most interesting from weekly presentations, guild activities or training. The Gofore community also extends beyond work. Various activities, such as board games, cycling, climbing and video games are some of the things we do during get-togethers combined with sauna, various events and family days. In order to find the right balance between work and free time, you can define your flexible working hours, work remotely and choose the tools that you need. These and many other benefits await you at Gofore!
What we expect from you
You like to work in teams and with the customer’s product owner. A customer-oriented approach and communicating with non-technical people are also key parts of your job description. The scrum and its routines is a familiar way of working for you, and you like to share what you know in your team.
""My name is Marko Wallin and I work at Gofore as a software designer in the Population Register Centre's National Service Architecture project (KaPa for short), on the suomi.fi service, which provides access to public services at varying stages of your life. The days are spent at the customer's Scrum team, working on full stock development using modern technologies. In proper DevOps spirit, we also work with cloud services. In KaPa, we work in four subprojects: identification, roles and access rights, service views and service channel. Application development changes all the time, and although the back end does not, like the front end, continuously accept new technologies, recently cloud services and microservice architecture has been created with React, Node.js and Kotlin. It won't do any harm to keep up with the latest trends, because it's important for software designers to have the desire and ability to learn new things. And that's actually one thing that I really like. One of the positive aspects about Gofore is that continuous self-improvement is considered important and it is also invested in through training and bulletins. The employees can use 6% of their working time for self-improvement, and this has led to the Highkara news reader application for iPhones, for example. It's not only programming all day long. We take the odd break and play table football to exercise the wrists, and talk about anything and everything as we play a video game or have a cup of coffee. I also like the cycling club activities."
