As an AWS Cloud Architect most important thing for us is your desire to work hands-on with the cloud and find the best technological solutions to enable our customers’ success. As a cloud architect at Gofore, you can get involved in the development or renewal of demanding public services and socially significant projects. Our customer projects are usually long-term, allowing you to focus on one project at a time. You can explore our work as AWS cloud experts in customer projects for Elenia, the City of Tampere, or Aimo Park.

What we expect 

We hope that you have a strong background in AWS public cloud services and understand the different types of cloud service models and deployment architectures. You have worked on several AWS development projects and have a comprehensive understanding of both the application development lifecycle and cloud platform management. You also have knowledge of best practices regarding cloud security. You communicate fluently in both Finnish and English. 


The key thing is that you enjoy working not only on architectural design but also as a hands-on technical architect and want to continue developing in that role.

In addition, you have strong expertise in some of the cloud architecture areas listed below:

  • Good understanding of AWS IaaS, PaaS, or FaaS services. Our projects often involve VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Route53, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, S3, CloudFront.
  • Experience with utilizing and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
  • Experience with container- technologies and orchestration.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD technologies.
  • Familiarity with serverless solutions.
  • Knowledge of WAF and CAF (AWS Well Architected Framework and AWS Cloud Adoption Framework).
  • Understanding of Landing Zones and their utilization.
  • Experience with AWS data platform technologies and AWS security solutions.
  • Experience with AWS hybrid environments, Hub & Spoke network architecture, and centralized services in AWS organizations.
  • Understanding of governance, AWS management structures, and policies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and other stakeholders.
  • We consider any AWS certifications an advantage.

We do not require strong expertise in all the cloud architecture areas listed above, so please apply even if not all of the above are part of your skill set.

Salary development
For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The compensation is the outcome of, not only experience and skills, but also active work for our two values: being a good workplace for everyone and considering customer perspective in everything we do. The feedback that you receive, your utilisation rate (we are consultants, after all!) and your own professional development are central in the salary discussions with your People Leader (i.e. supervisor). 

Typically, the salary for this role ranges between 5000-6000€ per month,  we can determine the appropriate level together as discussions progress and we learn more about your skills. In addition to the monthly salary, we offer performance-based bonuses, which can be related to cloud certifications, recruitment, sales, or increasing Gofore’s visibility.
