Niko works at Gofore with artificial intelligence and test automation. At the moment, his work focuses especially on log analysis and error categorisation, in other words, identifying the most relevant insights from large volumes of data quickly and effectively.
According to Niko, AI-assisted testing brings clear benefits, particularly in situations where manual work would be slow or difficult to scale. What motivates him most is problem-solving and the feeling that his work genuinely makes other people’s day-to-day work easier.
For me, success at work means being able to make other people’s jobs easier. That might involve speeding up troubleshooting or bringing clarity to complex data.
In his day-to-day work, Niko uses a wide range of tools. His daily toolkit includes ChatGPT, Python and VS Code, along with various AI tools such as CrewAI and MPC. What he finds most rewarding is the opportunity to design and implement AI-based solutions in practice. At Gofore, ideas do not remain at the planning stage. Instead, they are quickly put into use as part of everyday work.
Right now, Niko is particularly inspired by the rapid development and growing adoption of AI. He feels that he is constantly learning something new and is able to apply what he learns directly in his work.
I believe that in five years’ time, the role of AI in test automation will be significantly greater than it is today. The role of humans will shift more towards guiding and supervising AI, as well as interpreting the results.
Niko’s work is not solely technical, it also involves a great deal of collaboration.
Working in a team is flexible and varied. I get to work with many different people, which keeps things interesting.
At Gofore, there are around 200 quality assurance professionals, making it easy to exchange ideas and get support whenever needed. New perspectives are also gained through collaboration with experts from other fields.

Outside work, Niko enjoys archery. It provides a focused and demanding activity that helps him take his mind off screens for a while.
