We are looking for an information security management consultant with solid project management skills to join our team!

Gofore’s cybersecurity business has been growing rapidly in recent years, and we have established ourselves as a trusted partner for our clients in the public sector, critical infrastructure, and private sector. Our team consists of several technical and administrative information security professionals. We have large client projects coming up, for which we are now seeking for new consultants.

You are primarily an information security professional. In addition, you have experience and interest in project management. Depending on the customer project, you may have project leadership responsibilities, such as developing or leading the implementation of a cybersecurity service or process, or executing and managing a cybersecurity development program. In addition, your typical tasks may include information security compliance and gap assesments, ISMS development and implementation, integrating cybersecurity into risk management, or having a more comprehensive role, such as serving as our clients’ as information security officer.

As a consultant, your role may vary depending on the project. Thus, a flexible and curious attitude is a common trait among our experts.

Together we build truly meaningful and impactful services that affect the lives of everyone in Finland. Some examples of our clients include: Aimo Park, Labkotec, Cardiff University, Digital and Population Data Services Agency, VR, Valtra.

What we expect from you

To succeed in this position, you:

  • have several years of work experience of information security tasks and projects, and experience in implementing security cababilities and development projects in organisations. 
  • have experience in project management and the ability to plan, and lead various information security projects and development programs.
  • know how to create the organization’s information security guidelines and processes and consult the organization’s management on matters related to information security.
  • have experience in managing information security risks and threats, impelmenting information security management systems (ISMS), and planning and conducting security audits or assesments. 
  • have a strong understanding of and ability to apply the requirements of information security-related legislation, official guidelines and requirements frameworks (e.g. NIS2, ISO27001, Katakri, Julkri, PiTuKri,  or NIST CSF) in the management and development of information security.
  • are able to work independently and have excellent interaction and communication skills, as you work in cooperation with customers and other colleagues.
Seen as advantage:
  • Understanding of the technical apsects of cybersecurity, e.g. basics of cloud environments
  • Experience in business continuity management and preparedness
  • Relevant B.Sc or M.Sc degree 
  • CISA, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CISM, CSX, Prince2, PMP, IPMA C/D or other similar generally recognized project management or security certificates.

Please note that due to the nature of our customer projects, we require our applicants to be EU citizens and fluent in both Finnish and English. The chosen applicant may also be required to undergo security clearance by the Finnish Security Intelligence Service as required by the client.

Salary development: For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The NIS2 Directive and the upcoming Law on Cybersecurity Risk Management – what is it all about?

The European Union's NIS2 Directive is transposed into Finnish law as the Law on Cybersecurity Risk Management and will come into effect in October 2024. The Directive and national legislation aim to ensure a sufficiently high level of cybersecurity on sectors classified as critical and to enhance the management of cyber risks and threats. Sectors are divided based on their criticality into highly critical and critical sectors.
