Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and take on new challenges at Gofore within digital society and intelligent industry projects?
We are looking for experienced Test Managers to join our customer projects, responsible for planning, coordinating, and developing software project testing and quality assurance.
At Gofore, over 180 testing and quality assurance professionals work as part of customer projects, making us one of the largest testing and quality assurance communities in Finland. We believe in the power of teamwork, and support from the community is always available.
We have two main domains we work at:

Digital Society – Our diverse client base consisting of both private and public sector organisations (e.g. Elisa, Kone, Finnish Tax Administration, LähiTapiola) provide meaningful development projects carried out with modern technologies and affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of Finns.

Intelligent Industry – If you have experience or interests to work closely with physical devices and industrial digital solutions, this is for you! We work on projects for moving machines, the energy sector, the manufacturing industry, telecommunications or wellness and health technology. Our customers include Valtra, Aidon and Bosch, for example.
What we offer

Depending on your interests, you could focus in leading and planning test activities or roll up your sleeves and participate testing itself. We can offer interesting challenges for people from different backgrounds as our projects vary from R&D related projects to different kinds of digitalisation and software development projects. Depending on your skills and interests, your role may iclude also QA management, quality whisperer/agile coaching, or project management tasks.
We typically serve medium to large Finnish organizations and companies, so projects are often larger-scale efforts; in most projects, you will work alongside other Gofore professionals in testing and quality assurance or other roles.
We maintain our expertise through, among other things, a monthly Test Manager Guild, where we exchange ideas and learn new things together. We also encourage competence development by supporting certification and providing licenses for learning platforms.

What we expect from you
We are looking for experienced Test Managers with previous experience in managing testing in diverse projects, ideally from different organizations and industries. You have a passion for continuous learning and the courage to challenge yourself with new tasks. As an experienced professional, you can also challenge perspectives and bring best practices to projects.
We hope you have:

Several years of experience from a variety of large and demanding testing projects and environments, as well as managing service providers.

Broad understanding of different testing processes and methods, and the ability to create a suitable testing strategy for the client.

Experience in leading or coordinating test automation development.

You are capable of fluently plan, guide and coordinate the test specialists’ work and you make things happen.

Ability to apply various agile software development models, e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You promote progress with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.

The ability to consult our clients, offering smart and practical solutions.

You work fluently and convincingly with clients in both Finnish and English.
A security clearance check by the Finnish Security Intelligence Service is required in some of our customer projects. It is always done with the applicant’s consent. Depending on the project, the work may require occasional travelling within Finland.
Salary development
For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The compensation is the outcome of, not only experience and skills, but also active work for our two values: being a good workplace for everyone and considering customer perspective in everything we do. The feedback that you receive, your utilisation rate (we are consultants, after all!) and your own professional development are central in the salary discussions with your People Leader (i.e. supervisor).
In addition to the monthly salary, we have separate bonuses linked with the company’s success. Bonuses can be related to, for example, recruitment, sales or actions advancing Gofore’s employer brand.
