The explosive development of Artificial Intelligence solutions is changing the world in a big way, and its effects extend to all industries in one way or another. Although the effects on the future are still unclear in many sectors, the understanding of the opportunities AI offers is significantly more mature in the field of manufacturing industry.
To better understand the current state of manufacturing companies operating in Finland in 2024, we decided to interview leaders of industry companies. Instead of focusing on the widely studied opportunities for AI utilisation, we wanted to investigate how well our target companies understand the possibilities of AI and how they practically approach this topic. The aim of this research was to determine how Finland seeks to gain a competitive advantage through AI.
