Founded at the end of 2023 to promote ethical digitalisation, the Gofore Impact Foundation has now chosen its first beneficiaries.
After receiving as many as 71 quality applications for monetary grants and in-kind donations, the foundation’s Board had a challenging job choosing the ones with most ethical impact. In its selection process, the foundation emphasised ethics, direct promotion of digitalisation and width of impact.
In its first ever call for projects, the following eight projects were chosen for beneficiaries of both monetary and in-kind contributions from Gofore:
Five aspects of ethical digitalisation in the field of Finnish non-profit
30,000 euros + Two man-days’ in-kind donation to TIEKE Information Society Development Centre
Digital tool for the ”Neighbor mom” voluntary network
15,000 euros to Nicehearts ry.
AI supporting ethical digitalisation
15,000 euros to Anna Seppänen and Sami Vihavainen
Farmer App conference publication for ISPIM in Tallinn
2,500 euros to the Häme University of Applied Sciences
Digital work life coaching for intellectually and developmentally disabled people
20,000 euros to the Oulu region’s disabled support association

SelkoTeko – Putting AI to work in plain language and symbol imagery
30 man-days of in-kind donation to the Finnish association on intellectual and developmental disabilities

The monetary and in-kind donations add up to a total value of some 120,000 euros. We will be introducing all chosen causes in more detail over this summer and next fall so stay tuned for that!
