Chief Financial Officer of Gofore will change next year
Petteri Venola, Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Management Team, has announced that he will leave his position next year. Petteri Venola is one of the founders of the company and has been CFO since 2010. Previously to this, Venola served as CEO of Gofore. The process for finding Venola’s successor will be started during the end of the year.
As announced on 15 November, 2019, the Board of Directors of Gofore Plc has set a goal for the company to transit to official list of Nasdaq Helsinki in 2021. The company thrives to continue to grow and develop in the coming years. This also sets a requirement for the continuous development of financial administration. Venola has announced that for this task it is good at this stage to seek external top expertise.
“Originally, I took over the company’s administration and finances because I was one of the company’s founders who couldn’t code. It has been interesting to develop with the company and eventually get the financial administration to the maturity level where it is possible to operate as a listed company. However, in order to ensure the continued development of the company, I feel that at this stage, and well in advance of the phase of listing to official list of Nasdaq Helsinki, it is good to transfer responsibility to a successor”, says Petteri Venola.
“We respect Petteri’s wish and will start the process for finding a new CFO. I am certain that the position will be one of the most interesting open positions in financial management. I have no doubt that we will find a great new CFO for our growing Group”, says Timur Kärki, CEO of Gofore.
Petteri Venola will continue in the Executive Management Team and in his position until his successor starts. Venola will serve as an adviser in the company during the needed orientation.
