General accessibility observations

  • Offices are not equipped with audio induction loop systems
  • The external areas of offices are accessible by wheelchair,
  • Service dogs are welcome, but we kindly ask for a notification beforehand to accommodate for arrangements.
  • All offices are equipped with electronically adjustable tables.
  • Our staff will gladly assist you with opening heavy doors or other arrangements.

Helsinki (Kamppi)

Main entrance

  • The door is heavy and must be opened by hand. The entrance features a 7 cm doorstep. The door width is 80 cm, but can be extended to 160 cm.
  • An alternate route without a doorstep can be arranged through the shopping center.
  • The elevator door is 89 cm wide. Elevator buttons are identifiable by hand.

Indoor spaces

  • The office space is distributed to two floors (3, 8). The third floor door is heavy and must be opened by hand.
  • Conference room doors are 89 cm wide.
  • The accessible toilet is on the eighth floor.
  • Roof terrace access is via small steps or a wheelchair ramp.
  • The following conference rooms feature high tabletops: Workshop, Sininen.
  • Soundproof phone booths are not accessible. The third floor has a separate accessible space that can be used for calls.
  • Electronic locks are 115 cm from the ground.

Helsinki (Siltasaari)

Main Entrance

  • Accessible entry through the building lobby. The door has an automatic opener button at a height of 64 cm, with a doorway width of 90 cm, expandable to 184 cm.
  • Wheelchair lift located beside the four steps after entry.
  • The elevator adjacent to escalators in the lobby, with a doorway width of 100 cm. Elevator buttons identifiable by hand.

Interior Spaces

  • The office spaces are divided across four floors (3, 4, 5, and 8).
  • Elevator doorway width is 80 cm. Buttons identifiable by hand, with voice announcements in Finnish and Swedish.
  • Electronic locks are positioned at a height of 122 cm.
  • Kitchen microwave and dish placement on the 3rd floor is accessible.
  • Doorway width for meeting rooms is 88 cm, with a maximum threshold height of 2.5 cm.
  • An accessible restroom is available on each floor.
  • Phone booths in the office spaces are not accessible. Calls can be made in meeting rooms.

Tampere

Entrances

  • There is an accessible lift from the accessible parking spaces to the main lobby and to the Gofore premises. The door does not have an electronic opening.
  • The doors of the main entrance are opened by an electric door release button. The doors are open during the opening hours of the lobby service from 8.00 to 15.30 on weekdays. The access card reader is 1300 mm high.
  • The entrances to the A and B doors are mainly for staff. The frontage is flat and of sufficient size. The guidance is functional. Door clear width 860 mm and threshold height 40 mm. The height of the badge reader is 1300 mm.

General

  • Functions in Building A on four floors (1st to 4th floors) and in Building B on three floors (1st to 3rd floors)
  • Two elevators and stairs, the call buttons meet recommendations, sufficient handrails and lighting
  • The main lobby has ample passage space, tight furniture groups, and the service desk is at a single height
  • The cloakroom has lockers at various heights, but the coat rack and hat shelf are only at a single height
  • Electrical outlets are mainly at floor level
  • Signs on door leaves are mostly easily visible
  • Passageways are mainly spacious and accessible

Break Rooms

  • Accessible entry
  • Passageways are spacious, furniture groups are tight, and there are storage places for dishes and functionalities at various heights
  • Changing and washing facilities in the basement are not accessible
  • Kitchens are not fully suitable for independent use by wheelchair users
  • Rooftop terrace and sauna not accessible, shower room accessible

Workspaces

  • Workstations are accessible and adjustable
  • Phone and meeting room doorways are sufficiently wide and easy to use, with thresholds meeting regulations
  • Single-occupancy rooms do not meet the free space requirements according to regulations
  • some of the toilets are already accessible, and others are ready for the addition of accessibility equipment

Larger Meeting Rooms and client areas

  • Some have height-adjustable chairs and tables
  • All have reservation devices placed higher than recommended
  • In most cases, the door’s free width is sufficient, and the threshold meets regulations

Jyväskylä

Main entrance

  • The door is heavy and must be opened by hand.
  • The elevators are only accessible via stairs. The buttons are not identifiable by hand.
  • An alternate route can be arranged through the shopping center service corridors.

Indoor spaces

  • The office is located on the third floor. The door must be opened by hand.
  • An accessible toilet is inside the office space.
  • Separate project space is accessible via stairs.

Oulu

Main entrance

  • The entrance on the street side has stairs and narrow doorway. The doorway can be made wider.
  • Office also has a separate door that includes a ramp. The door must be opened by hand.

Indoor spaces

  • There are doorsteps between office spaces and doors that must be opened by hand but stay open.
  • Few office rooms are located on a non-accesible higher elevation space.
  • The game room is non-accessible.
  • Phone booths are non-accessible.
  • An accessible toilet is inside the office spaces.
  • Common sauna and changing rooms are accessed via a stairway.

Lappeenranta

Main entrance

  • The door is heavy and must be opened by hand.
  • The doorway has a wheelchair ramp.
  • There is no elevator inside the building.

Indoor spaces

  • The office space is distributed to two floors (1, 2)
  • The access to the upstairs conference room is via stairs.
  • One of the first-floor toilets is wheelchair-accessible, but lacks support handlebars.

Kajaani

Main entrance

  • Both entrance doors have doorsteps.
  • The entrance doors must be opened by hand.

Indoor spaces

  • The office is located on the second floor. There is no elevator.
  • Doors are wide and must be opened by hand. The doors will remain open until manually closed except for one door which much be held open.
  • There are small doorsteps between office spaces.

Turku

Main entrance

  • The stairway door at street level opens automatically
  • There are three steps before the elevator at the A side stairway, movable wheelchair ramps available
  • There are four steps before the elevator at the B side stairway, wheelchair-lift available
  • The door opening for both stairways elevators is 73 cm. A side stairway elevator width 66 cm and depth 123 cm. B side stairway lift width 66 cm and depth 128.5 cm. Elevator buttons are palpable by hand.
  • 35 mm threshold at the entrance to the street level office space.
  • Doors for office spaces can be opened by hand.

Interiors

  • The office premises are divided into four different floors (1,2,7,8).
  • On the first and eighth floors accessible toilet facilities
  • At the street level accessible shower
  • Access to the second floor through the shopping centre
  • Tables are electronically adjustable
  • Meeting premises accessible
  • Non-adjustable tables and chairs in the meeting premises on the eighth floor
  • Second floor meeting room with accessible and adjustable table and chairs
  • Telephone booths/withdrawal spaces are not accessible.
  • The premises on the seventh floor were previously in residential use and partly cramped when using a mobility aid.
  • The premises have a movable induction loop
