Gofore’s Annual General Meeting took place on 4th of April 2024. The AGM approved all the proposals of the Board of Directors and confirmed the election of two new board members. Matti Saastamoinen is Gofore’s new employee representative, and CIO Antti Koskelin brings the expertise of industrial digitalisation. Timur Kärki, a co-founder of the company, continues as the Chair. Mammu Kaario, Piia-Noora Kauppi and Sami Somero were re-elected.
Matti Saastamoinen was elected as candidate by the staff of Gofore Group employees earlier this Spring. After that the Shareholders’ Nomination Board proposed him as a Board member to the Annual General Meeting. Gofore has had one employee representative on the Board since 2015. Saastamoinen is the fifth Goforean to take up the position. Employee representative as a board member is quite exceptional among Finnish listed companies.
Matti is very excited and honoured to take up the responsibility. He’s been working at Gofore since 2017 as people person, customer lead and project manager.
“My strength is the deep and broad understanding of both our people and customers, who are the cornerstones of our company’s values. In line with our culture, I want to maintain open and transparent communication between Goforeans and the Board. I aim to increase understanding and keep our people up to date on what is on the agenda of the Board,” Matti says.
Timur Kärki, Chair of the Board, says that employee representation increases transparency, and builds trust and shared success.
Antti Koskelin is an experienced CIO, bringing strong knowledge of industrial digitalisation to the Board. He has worked e.g. at KONE and Konecranes, and is very excited to take up his new role.
“I am impressed by Gofore’s strong employer brand and the reputation as a leading company on the IT industry. Gofore has a broad offering which is an asset when helping intelligent industry customers on their digital transformation journey. I see a growing need for Gofore’s expertise on the industry. Digital solutions play a key role in increasing the competitiveness of these companies”, Antti says.
