We are looking for a Lead Expert to join one of our offices in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, or Jyväskylä. In the Lead Expert role, strong technical expertise is essential, enabling you to develop the team’s capabilities and act as a leading specialist in our client projects.

Your role within the team is to stay at the forefront of agentic digital development by closely following emerging industry trends. You are able to distinguish between hype and what truly creates value for the team and our clients. In addition, you will contribute to the growth of our business by playing a key role in (pre-)sales and recruitment processes. You will be supported by a group of software development professionals who help you succeed in your role.

In this position, we expect you to have a clear vision of how agentic digitalization will shape the way digital services are built, as well as the ability to support our clients’ organizations on this journey. The role offers broad exposure to modern AI‑assisted software development projects, as well as to AI development and consulting business.

You will work alongside knowledgeable colleagues who share expertise and spar with you in day‑to‑day work. You will have the opportunity to gain experience across diverse client projects and to develop your skills through, for example, a wide range of self‑study courses and other training opportunities. When you start, you will receive a comprehensive onboarding to the role.

Lead Expert responsibilities will take up approximately 50% of your working time. The remaining time you will work as a consultant in client projects.

The role does not initially include people management responsibilities, but depending on your career aspirations, it may be possible to expand the role toward a managerial position in the future.

What we expect from you

You may have gained experience, for example, as a software developer or project manager, and you have the ability to introduce and embed AI‑assisted ways of working into teams and organizations.

You have previous experience supporting sales and enjoy solving clients’ problems in versatile ways. Prior experience in a people management role is considered an advantage: you understand how effective teams operate and are willing to contribute to the development of your own team.

We expect you to have the following skills and experience

  • Architectural‑level understanding of software development

  • Experience with agentic AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience supporting sales

  • Interest in facilitating workshops and trainings for clients, and in rolling out new ways of working in client organizations

  • Previous people management experience is considered an advantage

  • A strong vision for the development of agentic AI and its application to the needs of different organizations

  • Ability to operate across different horizons: understanding what can be done now, in the near future, and in the years to come

The role includes delivering workshops and demos at client premises, so we expect you to be confident in presenting and interested in visiting client locations, primarily in the Helsinki metropolitan area and Tampere.

We are looking for an energetic, results‑driven enabler with a proactive mindset.

Success in this role requires fluency in both Finnish and English. Our company language is English, but many of our client consulting projects require proficiency in Finnish.

Salary development

At Gofore, it is important that work is fairly compensated. Salary is influenced not only by experience and skills, but also by two of our core values: contributing actively to making Gofore a great workplace for everyone, and keeping the customer perspective at the heart of everything we do. In salary discussions with your manager, key elements include the feedback you receive, your billing rate (we are consultants, after all!), and your professional development.

Typically, the salary level for this role ranges between 6000-7500 EUR per month. In addition to the fixed salary, we offer bonuses based on the company’s performance and your monthly billing. We will define the appropriate salary level as discussions progress and we learn more about your expertise.
