Effortless, effective and reliable EV charging

Kempower designs, manufactures and commercializes charging solutions and services for electric vehicles and machines operating in the most demanding conditions. Kempower is a part of Kemppi-Group.

Kemppi-Group is best known from the global Welding machine brand Kemppi. Since 1949 KEMPPI has delivered thousands of welding machines. In 1977 the group introduced the very first inverter based DC power source in the world. The operation of Kempower started with full force in 2018 as the core technical know-how accumulated over the years formed the backbone of the team that would create the technology that would be Defining Charging.

Even if the actual process is technically quite complex under the hood, the charging of an EV should be easy and effortless to the user. There are several parties involved in the charging process:

• the car manufacturer,
• the charging station provider like Kempower,
• the electricity infrastructure provider (electrical supply to the charging) and
• the charging station operator who is providing user access, invoicing and for example possibility to pre-book a charging spot ahead.

All these need to operate together to make the experience for the user effortless. And effortless charging is the key to increasing numbers of happy EV owners. This what we are working towards.
