Tarmo Kellomäki to lead Gofore’s cybersecurity services: “Our expertise offering is now truly unique”

Tarmo Kellomäki has been appointed Head of Service Area, Cyber at Gofore. In his new role, he will strengthen Gofore’s cybersecurity expertise and lead the joint strategy and impact of the combined security services of Gofore and Huld. Kellomäki joins Gofore from Huld, where he will continue in a dual role, remaining responsible for its Digital Security & Functional Safety business.

Kellomäki has extensive experience in the cybersecurity of critical systems and has held key roles in the defence, industrial, and public sectors. His expertise includes the development of security-critical systems and services, the design of standardised security architectures, and the integration of functional safety and cybersecurity into digital product development.

Gofore’s cybersecurity services focus on enhancing the overall cyber resilience of organisations. The offering includes, among other things, threat modelling, security architecture design, DevSecOps support, and penetration testing.

Through the acquisition, Gofore further solidifies its position as a leading cybersecurity expert, expanding its security business from public sector into the industrial and defence domains. Huldians bring deep expertise in industrial systems and device-level cyber and functional safety, national security and preparedness projects, and software designed for space environments.

“The merger of Gofore and Huld brings together two strong security teams, creating one of Finland’s most significant security consulting houses. Our combined expertise uniquely covers both industrial needs and national security demands, giving us an excellent foundation to meet our customers’ growing and increasingly diverse requirements”, says Kellomäki.
