Pride it up – LGBTQI+ initiatives 2025

Gofore Crew

At Gofore, we believe in creating a work environment where everyone feels safe and valued. For us, psychological safety means that our employees can openly share ideas, ask questions and make mistakes – without fear of negative consequences such as rejection or punishment.

Our Nordic Work Culture supports precisely this environment, in which trust and respect are at the heart of everything we do. This is also reflected in one of our core values: Gofore is a great workplace for everyone.

But who actually is “everyone”?

Over 120 Goforeans are now part of our team in the DACH region. Each of us has a unique personality, individual strengths and different perspectives. We are aware that diversity, equality and inclusion are not just buzzwords – for many of us, they are an integral part of their identity. That is why we are actively committed to ensuring that everyone at Gofore can develop freely and safely.

Our DEIB commitment towards more diversity

In addition to our initiatives regarding neurodiversity in the workplace and the empowerment of women, we want to place a stronger focus on LGBTQI+ diversity management in 2025. Because even though social acceptance is growing, many people from the community continue to experience discrimination – including in the workplace.

A study by DIW and Bielefeld University shows that 30% of LGBTQI+ people surveyed have already experienced discrimination in the workplace. In addition, around a third do not feel comfortable being open about their own sexual orientation or identity.

We want Gofore to be a place where discrimination has no room. But that won’t happen on its own – we have to actively work on it. That is why we have decided to collaborate with the UHLALA Group – an expert organization that supports companies in reviewing and developing their LGBTQI+ strategies.

Our activities for 2025 as part of the “We stay pride” program

To drive our commitment forward, we have planned the following initiatives for 2025:

  • Cross-company mentoring – learning from and with other companies
  • Audit and certification process – an external assessment of our diversity management
  • LGBTQI+ training for our People & Culture team
  • Inclusive leadership” – training for our management on the topic
  • Training for all Goforeans on LGBTQI+ awareness and diversity basics
  • Participation in the Unpinked Diversity Conference

Our goal

We are convinced that when people can bring their authentic selves to work, not only do they benefit, but so does the entire company. Diversity strengthens teams, brings in new perspectives and creates a culture of trust.

Our aim is not only to anchor LGBTQI+ awareness and inclusion in policies and training courses, but also to live it in our daily work – from management level to the small day-to-day interactions at work. Because in the end, it’s not just about avoiding discrimination, it’s about creating an environment where everyone is seen, heard and valued – regardless of who they love or how they identify.

Diversity enriches us all – and we look forward to continuing on this path together.

We are convinced that in the current times, it is more important than ever to stand by these values. Collaborating with the UHLALA Group and participating in the We stay pride program allows us to challenge ourselves further and dive even deeper into LGBTQI+ related topics.
