Gofore’s cybersecurity service area operates at the heart of society and industry. We create impactful digital solutions that make everyday life easier, strengthen cybersecurity for society and businesses, and improve companies’ competitiveness. We are now looking for a new leader for our cybersecurity service area—someone passionate about growing and developing business, delivering customer value, and enabling top-level expert work in the field of digital security.
As Head of Service Area, Cyber, you will be responsible for the entirety of the cybersecurity service business. You will lead and implement the business plan for the service area, combining growth goals, customer value, expertise, and delivery capability in a sustainable, scalable, and profitable way. You will guide a rapidly growing community of over 30 experts together with team leads and key business stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Head of Service Area:
Business and Profitable Growth Leadership

Strategic, profitable, and responsible leadership of your business area

Development of service offerings based on customer and market needs, with profitability in mind

Ensuring utilization rates and capacity management aligned with business needs, including building future capabilities

Development of delivery, pricing, and business models in close collaboration with other business areas—focusing on customer value and scalability

Identifying new business opportunities in cybersecurity, such as critical infrastructure protection, AI-related security solutions, and public sector regulatory requirements
Customer Engagement

Broad understanding of Gofore’s key sectors: public sector, intelligent industry, wellbeing, security, and retail and services

Close collaboration with account managers, service area leads, and sales

Active participation in sales and proposal processes, ensuring visibility, value, and customization of cybersecurity services

Development of the role of cybersecurity services as part of a broader service offering
Operational Leadership

Daily leadership and continuous development of the service area with team leads

Development of operational models to ensure efficiency, communication, customer value, and delivery capability

Promotion of collaboration with other service areas and internal partners

Ensuring scalable, predictable, and customer-centric delivery models, even in critical cybersecurity projects
Capability and Competence Development

Supporting the technical, consultative, and business-oriented growth of experts

Ensuring success through strategic recruitment of future competencies

Building future cyber capabilities such as AI-based threat detection, cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, OT security in industry, and secure sustainable software development

Developing communities of expertise and supporting leadership within the service area

What We Expect From You

Deep understanding of the cybersecurity domain, threats, emerging technologies, and relevant legislation based on previous experience

Proven experience in business leadership, driving profitable growth, and developing services at scale—within service businesses generating tens of millions in annual revenue

Successful cybersecurity project experience across Gofore’s key sectors: public sector, intelligent industry, wellbeing, security, and retail and services
-
Experience in resource management and optimizing utilization in service business
-
Proven track record in active sales, proposal creation, and customer dialogue
-
Demonstrated success in coordinating large proposals (over €5M)

Understanding and experience in integrating cybersecurity into digital transformation projects

Experience in leading expert communities (preferably over 50 experts)

Strong people-centric leadership, self-leadership, reflection skills, and ability to develop others

Fluent in Finnish and English

Willingness to travel for customer meetings in the Helsinki metropolitan area

Salary development
For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The range of the basic monthly salary is wide in this role, as different backgrounds may be suitable. Your salary will be defined based on your skills and experience, and we will be happy to discuss the topic more along the process, as we get to know each other better. The compensation is the outcome of, not only experience and skills, but also active work for our two values: being a good workplace for everyone and considering customer perspective in everything we do. The feedback that you receive, your utilisation rate (we are consultants, after all!) and your own professional development are central in the salary discussions with your People Leader (i.e. supervisor). We have different salary models, and in addition to the monthly salary, we have separate bonuses linked with the company’s success. Bonuses can be related to, for example, recruitment, sales or actions advancing Gofore’s employer brand.
