We are looking to expand our growing team with Software Engineers specialized in secure software & product development for a variety of projects of different sizes across both the public and private sectors.
There’s plenty of choice in projects, and the technologies used include Java, Node.js, Typescript, React, React Native, Vue.js, Angular, C#, .NET, Python, AWS, and Azure. What matters most is that we find a project that genuinely interests you!
Knowledge and interest towards intelligent industry is a real asset. You are familiar with IEC62443 standard and how it can be implemented in product development.
In addition to industrial clients, you could join a development or renewal project in healthcare, early childhood education, or transportation – we offer truly meaningful public and private sector projects that impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of Finns. Our client projects are typically long-term, and you’ll usually be able to focus on one project at a time. Come build and develop meaningful digital services with us. As a software engineer dedicated to secure software development, you ensure that the solutions produced by the development team meet demanding security requirements and that security is naturally considered at every stage of the project. The focus is on defensive security during solution construction, but you’ll also collaborate smoothly with offensive security experts and quality assurance.
In addition to project work, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the development and training of secure software development methods across Gofore and support your colleagues with your expertise.
What we expect from you

Extensive and diverse experience in the software industry (5+ years)

Experience with secure software & product development methods (OWASP, DevSecOps, IEC 62443) and integrating them into development team workflows

Solid practical experience in multiple technologies and programming languages,

Practical experience in designing and implementing security-related features in software solutions, such as:

Integrating tools like SonarCube, GitHub Security, Dynatrace, Mend SAST into CI/CD pipelines

Implementing ZeroTrust architecture and governance models

Implementing cybersecurity standard IEC62443 and Secure Product Development

Bringing in security features in embedded software and IoT products

Use of variety of different communication protocols

Ability to write security documentation and participating and/or facilitating threat modelling & risk assessment sessions with the team

A certification related to cloud security and/or secure software development (e.g., ISC2 CSSLP)

Fluent working and communication skills in both Finnish and English

Experience working on classified or security-specialized projects is considered an advantage

Previous experience in coaching and mentoring is considered an advantage
As a secure software engineer, you’ll get to design and lead nationally significant software projects. You’ll work in a responsible role as part of an agile development team and contribute hands-on to development. Beyond development, you’ll be involved in the client relationship or project throughout its lifecycle, working closely with the client to translate business plans into technical roadmaps. You’ll support both the team and the client’s product owner in architectural work and develop sustainable solutions for the long term.

Salary
At Gofore, we value fair compensation. Your salary will reflect your experience and skills while aligning with our commitment to being a great workplace and ensuring client-centricity. Typical salaries for this role range from €4500-5500 per month, with further opportunities for performance-based incentives.
