Agile Data, AI & Cloud unit is looking for a data engineer for our customer projects!

Gofore’s data team is a team of 20 experts who build truly meaningful services that affect the lives of hundreds of thousands of Finns. Join our community as a data engineer. In our diverse projects, we work closely with cloud experts in particular – in our business unit, you can be exposed to e.g. projects related to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Right now, our community is looking for an enthusiastic and pioneering data person – a data engineer! We are looking for an end-to-end data engineer: with us, you get to work on the whole data pipeline, i.e. participate in e.g. for architecture design, development of data storage and management solutions and also to work in close cooperation with reporting and analytics experts in the customer interface. Previous data architect experience is a significant advantage in the position.

What we expect from you

  • Desire to work in cooperation with others, develop and share expertise in teams
  • Fluent SQL and Python
  • Several years of experience in building data warehouses or modern data platforms
  • The ability to take ownership of already existing data pipeline solutions and independently maintain and further develop them
  • Skills for information modelling
  • You understand the cause-and-effect relationships of data management and how its other areas are related to data platform creation
  • Fluent Finnish language skills, spoken and written: our company language is English, but in many of our client projects Finnish is used for work.

Skills valuable in our projects:

  • Architecture experience
  • Consulting skills – especially communication skills and the ability to promote issues
  • Data domain certificates (especially Azure)
  • ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory or Synapse)
  • Other experience with integrations, data migrations and interfaces
  • Developing reporting with BI tools (especially Power BI)
  • You have previous experience and enthusiasm for working with clients in the public sector, industry, healthcare or finance.

Salary development

For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The compensation is the outcome of, not only experience and skills, but also active work for our two values: being a good workplace for everyone and considering customer perspective in everything we do. The feedback that you receive, your utilisation rate (we are consultants, after all!) and your own professional development are central in the salary discussions with your People Leader (i.e. supervisor).

We have different salary models, and in addition to the monthly salary, we have separate bonuses linked with the company’s success. Bonuses can be related to, for example, recruitment, sales or actions advancing Gofore’s employer brand.
