We are looking for an experienced Functional Safety Expert to join our Digital Security and Functional Safety team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the safety architecture of advanced systems, ensuring compliance with international standards and protecting critical operations. Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of Functional Safety and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities across projects.

Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA) and define safety requirements.

Conduct architecture concept trade-off studies and define system, hardware, and software architectures.

Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering experts to implement safety requirements.

Perform safety verification activities such as FMEDA and FTA.

Conduct Functional Safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance.

Advise clients on implementing Functional Safety processes and best practices.
What we expect from you?
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in functional safety engineering within automotive, industrial, or similar domains.

Strong knowledge of EN 13849, ISO 26262, and/or IEC 61508 standards.

Hands-on experience with safety analysis tools and methodologies (FMEDA, FTA, HARA).

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Fluent communication and documentation skills in English; Finnish is a plus.
We also appreciate if you have:

TÜV Functional Safety Specialist or Professional certification.

Experience with systems engineering, MBSE, embedded systems, and real-time software/hardware design.

Knowledge of OT Cybersecurity is a strong advantage.
