We are looking for experienced, business-driven architects to design, guide, and build our clients’ digital transformation. Our client projects and assignments are diverse and often long-term, giving you the opportunity to apply your expertise broadly while continuously learning new things.
As a digital transformation architect at Gofore, you will play a key role in the digitalization of societally significant business and service ecosystems. You will design and steer development work, enabling smooth interoperability between business processes and systems.
About the role
Smart factories, production optimization, predictive maintenance, and sustainability requirements are transforming the way industrial companies operate and compete. At the core of this change is the convergence of OT and IT—and it requires architects who can bridge two worlds that have traditionally been separate.
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect and Lead Consultant for Intelligent Industry who wants to play a key role in defining how Finnish industrial companies build their digital future and create new service innovations. You will support our industrial clients in designing and developing business, solution, and system architectures that integrate IT and OT environments. You will bring an external perspective and hands-on architectural expertise to complex challenges across business, technology, and integrations, leveraging the evolving opportunities of data and artificial intelligence. Where possible, you will also participate in Gofore’s sales and bidding activities as well as in the development of architecture consulting services.

What we expect from you

At least seven (7) years of experience in architectural work—preferably in enterprise or data architecture within industrial environments or other B2B business contexts.

At least three (3) years of experience in digitalization initiatives in industrial or B2B services, along with an understanding of OT environments (automation, SCADA, PLC, MES).

Excellent ability to design, document, and communicate intelligent industry business and solution architectures, solution scenarios, and development roadmaps for both business leadership and technical development teams.

Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures in an industrial context (e.g. Azure IoT, AWS IoT, edge computing) is considered an advantage.

Understanding of cybersecurity requirements related to industrial production and/or machinery (OT security).

Willingness to facilitate client workshops, present to top management, and build trusted advisor relationships.

Experience and competence in applying architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Lean EA) and tools (e.g. Archi, Sparx) are valued.

Interest in industrial megatrends (IoT, digital twins, AI in manufacturing, sustainability) and motivation to develop as an advisor in intelligent industry architectures.

A customer-oriented mindset and flexibility to adapt to client project needs in terms of both work location and working methods.

Fluent Finnish and English language skills.
Salary development
For us it is important that Goforeans receive reasonable total compensation for their work. The compensation is the outcome of, not only experience and skills, but also active work for our two values: being a good workplace for everyone and considering customer perspective in everything we do. The feedback that you receive, your utilisation rate (we are consultants, after all!) and your own professional development are central in the salary discussions with your People Leader (i.e. supervisor).
The typical salary range for this role is EUR 5,000–6,000 per month, in addition to a bonus based on your monthly billing. The final salary level will be defined as discussions progress and we gain a more detailed understanding of your expertise. We also offer separate bonuses linked to the company’s success, which may relate to areas such as recruitment, sales, or increasing Gofore’s brand awareness.
